Actress Anushka Sharma is a delighted and proud wife after her husband, cricket player Virat Kohli, scored an undefeated 59 during Wednesday’s match against Hong Kong in the Asia Cup 2022. Anushka took to Instagram in order to re-share a post that included a photo of the time when Virat reached fifty while the game was in progress. While she was publishing it on social media, she included a red heart emoji.

It wasn’t only Virat who reached the half-century mark; Suryakumar Yadav did as well. After being given the opportunity to bat first in the Twenty20 event taking place in Dubai, Virat Kohli scored 59 runs while Suryakumar hammered 68 runs off 26 balls to lead India to a score of 192-2. The two had an unbroken partnership of 98 runs. In their reply, Hong Kong could only score 152 runs. Fans and members of the Indian cricket community have also poured praise on Virat for his incredible knock, joining Anushka in praising him for his performance.
In the Twenty20 format, this is the 31st time that Virat has scored fifty or more runs. During the contest, Virat also shown his ability to bowl effectively. He returned to the bowling crease for the 17th over of Hong Kong’s innings. During that over, he was unable to take a wicket and instead let up 6 runs to the opposition. Virat bowled in a Twenty20 international match for the first time since the quarterfinal match of the 2016 T20 World Cup, which was held in Mumbai. The match was against the West Indies.
