Punjab Cabinet to Donate One Month’s Salaries to Flood Victims

The government pledged one month’s pay to flood victims, according to a handout.

The CM said during a meeting that he would reserve his helicopter for flood victims. The CM announced the shipment of medicines and medical workers to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, and Balochistan. He added the Punjab government stands with other provinces’ affected residents.

The conference approved declaring Rajanpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Mianwali calamity-stricken and prayed for the dead. It condoled with the heirs.

The CM said tents, food hampers, and other equipment will be distributed as required in impacted regions. The government would also repair damages to homes, crops, and cattle, he stated, and no one’s right will be usurped.

The government allocated four billion rupees for repairing rain- and flood-damaged irrigation infrastructure.

The cabinet standing committee will provide its final recommendations after analysing all problems regarding the privatisation of public lands in DG Khan area. The government named Nicholson Road after Nawabzada Nasrullah. It was resolved to transfer the topic of phase two Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) and Annual Development Programme (ADP) financed programme for water courses to the committee and to extend the position of president Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Tribunal Mansoor Ahmad Khan.

Shafqat Mahmood will head a new search committee for public university vice-chancellors. Appointments to the Punjab Revenue Authority’s appeal tribunal and the assembly’s 5th legislative year 2022-23 calendar were authorised.

Cabinet accepted PPSC’s 2021 annual report. The Ombudsman Punjab’s 2021 annual report was also authorised. The cabinet’s first meeting’s standing committees were reconstituted. First-cabinet choices were affirmed. Flood losses were discussed.

Ministers, advisors, special assistants, the chief secretary, and top officials attended.
