The gathering is scheduled to take place during the first week of December in 2022, and all 16 of the member economies are anticipated to take part in it. The Alliance does not include India as a member.

Stan Singh, flanked by Badar Khushnood, Chairman [email protected], Fulvio Inserra, Vice Chairman, and other members, stated at a press conference that APICTA Awards is an international awards programme that aims to increase ICT awareness in the community and assist in bridging the digital divide. Fulvio Inserra is the Vice Chairman of APICTA Awards.
According to Khushnood, one of the reasons why Pakistan was selected was because the nation has just emerged from a difficult economic era and is now on the path to recovery.
They went on to say that the mission of APICTA is to provide the platform necessary to catalyse and recognise indigenous information and communications technology (ICT) innovations, as well as to stimulate economic and workforce development, trade relations, and technology collaboration in the Asia Pacific region.
The programme is intended to facilitate the transfer of technology as well as offer business matching opportunities by exposing participants to venture capitalists and investors. This is accomplished by providing opportunities for ICT innovators and entrepreneurs in the region to engage in networking activities as well as product benchmarking.
According to Stan Singh, chairman of APICTA, information and communications technology is no longer a facilitator of business but rather business itself.
Participants in the awards scheme are members of the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance APICTA. They are directed by the Framework of Cooperation, which outlines the ways in which member countries may collaborate in order to promote the awards programme and other initiatives that encourage the expansion and development of the information and communications technology sector in the area.
To this day, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Comprehensive Trade Agreement (APICTA) is made up of 16 different economies, including Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei Darussalam, China, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Macao, Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam, and Nepal. Other members include Chinese Taipei.
Winners of other awards programmes that are comparable to this one are eligible to participate in the awards programme that is being offered. The local economy will propose businesses, and those businesses will then go to the awards ceremony to present their solution to a panel of judges. A copyrighted official APICTA Judging Manual has been established by the Executive Committee Judging Subcommittee in order to achieve a judging procedure that is fair and equitable. Judges are recruited from each of the member economies.

These awards will be given out after a thorough process of evaluation by a jury consisting of members who are well-known around the world. Therefore, the winners and runners-up will be invited to take part in the Asia-Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Awards 2022, where they will have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and compete on a worldwide stage.
He went on to emphasise Pakistan’s ongoing improvements in the ease of doing business and the simplicity of travelling for foreigners with the introduction of an online visa application procedure.
He went on to say that the information technology industry is currently the only industry in Pakistan that is capable of growing at an exponential rate and contributing to the growth of exports in the same spirit. The IT industry also has the highest cash flow positive grading and is the industry that is the easiest to expand because the industry only relies on the availability of talent and policies that are conducive to its growth.
He said that the information and communications technology industry is now Pakistan’s second largest exporting sector after the textile sector since it has surpassed the rice sector.
